EthicsLab Limited
Privacy Policy
Effective 12 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how mahabharata.online handles information. mahabharata.online is developed and operated by EthicsLab Limited (“EthicsLab”, “we”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16870606.
Plain English, no ad-tech. Other EthicsLab products have their own policies on ethicslablimited.biz.
mahabharata.online is a static reading companion. We do not run advertising networks or third-party behavioural trackers, and we do not sell personal information.
What this website collects
This is a simple, mostly static website. Depending on how you use it:
- If you email us (for example at jesal@ethicslablimited.biz), we receive your email address and whatever you choose to put in your message, and we keep it so we can reply and maintain a record of the conversation.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
- Optional field Web Vitals. The site only sends performance timings (for example LCP or CLS, plus the path and a coarse device class) if a beacon URL is configured. No beacon is configured by default, and nothing is sent to EthicsLab unless one is set.
Information stored on your device
The interactive map can keep a short recent-name trail in session storage and a one-time “coach” flag in local storage so a tip is not shown twice. These stay on your device. Clearing site data or closing the tab removes them. EthicsLab does not receive them.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We rely on our legitimate interest in running our business and responding to you, and on your consent where you have contacted us voluntarily.
Sharing
We use a small number of service providers to host this website and handle email. They process information only on our instructions. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. There is no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or third-party tracking technology on this site.
Retention
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep reasonable business records, then delete it. Hosting logs are retained only as long as the host needs them for security and operations.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email jesal@ethicslablimited.biz and we’ll help. If you live in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Children
mahabharata.online is a general educational website and is not specifically directed at children. Because the site has no account or developer-operated data service, EthicsLab does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site.
Support communications
If you email us for support or a correction, we receive your email address and whatever information you include in your message. Please do not send unnecessary personal data. Product help is on the support page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when mahabharata.online changes or when legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above. We will revise this policy before adding a developer-operated account system, advertising, analytics, or materially different data use.
