How can we help?

Support for mahabharata.online, a Mahabharata reading companion from EthicsLab Limited.

mahabharata.online works without an account. Search a name, walk the family tree, tie two figures, or follow a guided sitting. It is not a full-text archive.

Email jesal@ethicslablimited.biz for support. Please include the page URL, the names you were looking at, and a short description of what happened.

Finding a name

Use Search (the search pill, or ⌘K / Ctrl K) and type a name or alias — Karna, Devrat, Panchali. Open a character page from the results, or start from Characters.

Family tree

The interactive tree shows houses and bonds. Drag the map. If the map does not load, use the branch list on the same page, or open a house such as the Pandavas or Kauravas.

Tie two names

On Tie names, pick two figures. The shortest path through the recitation is the one a reader needs. Curated pairs such as Karna and Arjuna also have their own pages.

Stories and the war

Seven guided sittings start from the home page. The eighteen-day spine follows Sanjaya’s telling. Plot follows the Kisari Mohan Ganguli translation; see sources and methodology.

Corrections

If a relationship is wrong, a variant is missing, or a page should be clearer, write to jesal@ethicslablimited.biz with the person names, the edition you are looking at, and the parva or section if you have it. Substantive fixes are dated on the page. More context is on About.
