Day 13

Day 13: The Boy Inside the Wheel

Drona forms the wheel because he wants a day the Pandavas cannot simply cut open. Arjuna, who could, is drawn away. Abhimanyu knows the entrance from the womb and not the exit.

He goes in. Jayadratha’s boon holds the four other brothers at the rim. Inside, the Kuru greats do not take him singly. The boy dies in the middle of a formation named for a wheel.

Arjuna hears it at dusk and vows Jayadratha will not see another sunset. Day 14 is that vow. This day is only the wheel, and the son.
