Day 17
Day 17: The Wheel Sticks
Karna has commanded since the sixteenth. The armour is long gone — Indra took it as a begging brahmin. The Shakti is gone — Ghatotkacha took it at night. What remains is the bow and the rivalry.
The wheel sinks. Karna asks for the pause dharma would give a stuck charioteer. Krishna names the sabha, the staking, the dragging, the years. Arjuna shoots. The tournament’s stranger dies in the mud still arguing about rules.
Kunti will name him again after, in front of the survivors. It will not make him a sixth Pandava in anyone’s mouth. It will only make the count honest.
